Courtney Harris
My name is Courtney Harris, my passion for health and fitness begun during my teens. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York and like the fast city; I consumed a lot of fast food daily. I didn’t consider the many consequences of living such an unhealthy lifestyle until, I witnessed my grandmother, uncles, and even my mother died from health related complications. Complications such as: diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney disease, all preventable with better diet and exercise. Losing family members from these diseases was a pivotal moment in my life. It was when I vowed to do better for my self and others through health and fitness. Along my journey, I participated in programs such as Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) where I learnt the value health professionals provide to society pushing me even more to pursue and earn a degree in Exercise Science & Physiology from Georgia State University.
Mission Statement
My mission is to help as many individuals as I can conquer their fitness goals and help them to living a healthier lifestyle. In the process I want to use my platform to allow others to be more health conscious than they currently are.
